To celebrate the 100th issue of Liverpool's legendary pink pages, I was commissioned to produce 3 conceptual typographic works that were used across the front cover and 2 full-page internal spreads. The issue delved deep into our cultural future and provided strong content for me to explore themes of hope, cynicism, control, media evolution, community and change.
The issue's visual identity had been expertly created by Sam Wiehl with an intentional focus on the future of Ai. Working closely with the team I conceptualised a playful packaging system that allowed users to take control of the presented information by using a transparent band to redact or reveal statements, converting them from cynical despair to hopeful solutions. The test was to challenge users to seek out more than the truth that had been presented to them and instigate problem-solving.
